Before you tune me out and say “seriously, a show about tupperware?” hear me out, because this is NOT your mamma’s tupperware party! Unless your mamma is a saucy redhead who says things like:  “To all my Australian – I hear it’s hotter than a pricey hooker’s ass. Stay cool and suck on plenty of ice. And drink booze – it helps hydration.”

That certainly isn’t how MY mamma talks. But if Dixie Longate is one thing, it is entertaining! And let me tell you: this lady has her spunky and sassy meter turned ALL the way up, and I mean this in the best of ways.

Note: if you are offended by language of the PG-13/R rated variety, this is probably not the show for you. While I find Dixie hilarious (having seen her show before), those who are easily shocked may not be quite as entertained. Not sure if Dixie’s Tupperware Party is for you? Dixie’s Story

Just how does a sassy redhead selling tupperware end up with their own one person show? According to Dixie, her tupperware parties got the attention of a theater producer in the Big Apple (NYC). Next thing you know, she’s got a show off-Broadway! In 2008, Dixie’s Tupperware Party was even nominated for a Drama Desk Award, a pretty big deal in the New York City Theatre world.
