Spring in North Alabama means one thing for families and thrill-seekers alike—the return of the Big Ol’ Ballpark Fair. The Rocket City Trash Pandas have once again partnered with Kissel Entertainment to bring the seventh annual event back to Toyota Field, running from Thursday, May 7 through Sunday, May 17 (closed Monday, May 11).
Each year, the fair transforms the Toyota Field parking lot into a full-scale carnival, complete with towering rides, bright lights, and the nostalgic energy of a classic midway. Guests can expect a wide variety of attractions, including roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, carousels, and the ever-popular tilt-a-whirl. Dozens of carnival games and interactive entertainment options round out the experience, making it a go-to outing for all ages.

New this year, the addition of a Big Top Circus brings an extra layer of excitement to the lineup. Alongside the rides and games, fairgoers can indulge in a full menu of classic treats like fried Oreos, chicken on a stick, and cotton candy.
The fair opens Tuesday through Friday at 5 pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 3 pm. Admission is $10 per night, with parking available for $5. Ride armbands, which offer unlimited rides, are priced at $35 on weekends and $30 Tuesday through Thursday.
For those looking to save, discounted ride armbands are available online for $25 if purchased before midnight on Wednesday, May 6. A limited number of VIP passes are also available for $20 per day, offering shorter wait times for rides. Additional armband discounts will continue through Wednesday, May 14.
Throughout the event, several themed promotions offer even more ways to enjoy the fair:
- Student Day (May 12): Free admission for students of all ages, from elementary through college
- BOGO Night (May 13): Buy one, get one free ride armbands (both guests must be present at purchase)
- Comic Con Day (May 14): $5 off ride armbands with coupon (just $20)
Whether you’re going for the rides, the food, or the atmosphere, the Big Ol’ Ballpark Fair continues to be a seasonal favorite in the Rocket City.
