We love the free concerts in so many area parks, offered in so many areas of town.
D: Downtown Open Putt-Putt
Free putt-putt around downtown Huntsville was a huge hit! Thanks to Downtown Huntsville, Inc. for some good, clean and free fun.
E: Earlyworks Whistlestop Festival
BBQ, beer, and bands all for a great cause? We are in for this delicious fundraiser every year. Even though we lost on cornhole in the first round…
F: Farmers Markets
Local farmers and local foods are just two of the reasons we love our many area farmers markets.
G: Geek
From our plethora of rocket scientists to events like The Mad Scientist Ball, Huntsville embraces its geekiness. And we love it!
H: Hiking
Do you realize we have over 120 miles of greenways and hiking trails in Huntsville? AND there are even trails a mere 1.5 miles from downtown? Shh! Don’t tell your friends. They may want to move here.
I: Ice Hockey
We love our Havoc and Chargers! We love you too, Chaos and Rukus!
J: Johnny Stallings Art Program @ Merrimack Hall
Because everyone should have access to the arts, regardless of the challenges they face.

Where adults can still have as much fun as little kids.
L: Live Comedy
Huntsville’s growing stand-up comedy scene gives you plenty to laugh at from the monthly Epic Comedy Hour shows to Homegrown Comedy at the Flying Monkey.
M: Maple Hill Cemetery Stroll
Mix and mingle with Huntsville most famous and infamous residents. Oh, did we mention they’re also dead?

Where there is a need, you can be sure our non-profit community is working to fulfill it!

From movies in the park to food truck festivals to wine festivals, we love getting outdoors in the spring and summer.

Huntsville’s largest arts festival transforms downtown Huntsville into an arts wonderland for an entire weekend in April.

R: Rockets & Missiles
Oh, that boom and the shaking windows? That’s just testing on the arsenal. You get used to it.
S: Street Food Season
Never underestimate the power of a closed street and 25 food trucks.
T: Theatre
With so many terrific local theater groups, it’s easy to get your fix of all things thespian.
U: U.S. Space and Rocket Center
Only at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center can you dine under a Saturn V rocket, watch a movie on a full-dome IMAX® Theater, check out 27 missiles and rockets, and train like an astronaut.
V: Von Braun Center
The place for blockbuster shows and concerts. A few shows we’re looking forward to in 2015: Disney on Ice Frozen, Peter and the Starcatcher, Celtic Woman 10th Anniversary Tour, Huntsville Symphony’s The Music of Michael Jackson.
W: Wine Festival
Huntsville First Annual Big Spring Crush was a hit, and we are already looking forward to Crush #2.
X: X-mas events
From the twinkling lights of The Tinsel Trail to the fa-la-la-la’s of holiday concerts, the Christmas season is packed with fun in Huntsville!
Y: YP Groups
Organizations like Huntsville Young Professionals, Rotaract, Connect, Committee of 100 YP’s and more keep young professionals entertained and busy!
