Five Points Historic District is a great place to live or visit for those who appreciate historic homes, being in the downtown area, and having unique local businesses nearby.
So it’s only fitting that the area has fantastic food options for all those who are eager to eat local. These are some favorite spots in Five Points we recommend checking out if you haven’t already!
Where to Eat in Huntsville’s Five Points
1892 East
Whether you’re visiting 1892 East for brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks, or dessert, you’re guaranteed to have a fantastic meal. We love the neighborhood vibe the local art on the walls brings, and the seasonal menus mean you have new favorite dishes to look forward to.

Thai Garden
When dining at Thai Garden, spring rolls are a must! They’re so good we could make a meal out of them. We also enjoy their Thai tea, and to our surprise, they have a great beer selection too. Hot and sour soup, pad Thai, and sweet and sour shrimp are tried and true favorites of ours.

Tenders
Tenders has been part of the Five Points community since 1996 and is home to the Big Daddy which consists of 6 tenders, fries, Texas toast, slaw, and two sauces. Having a hard time choosing between tenders and wings? There’s a combo for that! (3 tenders, 4 wings). If you have room left for dessert, try a slice of peanut butter pie!
Po Boy Factory
Looks like New Orleans, feels like New Orleans, and tastes just as amazing as some of our favorite spots in NOLA! You cannot go wrong with their po boys. We love the shrimp and grouper equally, and pairing them with cajun fries is a must! Also, be sure to try the dessert of the week or classic bread pudding.

Mario’s Delivery
Mario’s Delivery serves the 35801 community by delivering pizza, pasta, salad, and sandwiches. In addition to classic favorites you’ll also find a cauliflower po boy and an extensive dessert menu with decadent treats like limoncello mascarpone cake. While Mario’s isn’t a sit-down restaurant, you can stop in and pick up food for takeout.

Olde Towne Coffee
Olde Towne Coffee has a specials menu which changes monthly. Currently for October the theme is “Chillin Like a Villain” with each drink being named after a Disney villain. In addition to specials and excellent coffee, they offer breakfast and lunch items. You can also purchase beans to brew at home.

Ted’s Bar-B-Q
Alabama has lots of barbeque, but how many of those restaurants have a polish sausage sandwich? We suggest trying something different and ordering this paired with coleslaw and BBQ baked beans.
