Valley Fest will take place today, May 17.
As a native of South Huntsville, sometimes I took for granted the lush greenery and amazing parks that dotted the landscape in all of the suburban neighborhoods.
I was even within walking distance of the one in my neighborhood when I was little, and I have fond memories of biking there with friends and learning how to play tennis for the first time.
Jones Farm Park
Luckily, with the construction of the beautiful Jones Farm Park and Valley Fest 2014, other families with a more urban living situation will get to enjoy the atmosphere of a gorgeous park.
Starting this Saturday, May 10 at 10 am RESCHEDULED to Saturday, May 17 and it will go on as planned,Valley Fest 2014 is bringing a FREE festival-like experience to the stunning Jones Valley Farm. Situated around two crystal clear lakes is a walking path complimented by a wood pavilion with a bubbling creek nearby.
What to Expect
Come Saturday the path will be lined with tents as vendors display and sell arts, crafts, and business items.
Three stages will be set up for bands like Seminole Strut and The Deltones to play throughout the day, with the third stage offering exciting demonstrations by Renaissance Faire actors.
And in case you get a little hungry or parched from all the fun, food and drink vendors will be on hand to give you all the donuts, pizza, snowballs, and crawfish you could want.
For those festival-goers hoping to win a prize or two, Valley Fest will be having drawings for a flat-screen TV, travel sets, and numerous door prizes.
Keep your kiddos entertained with face painting while you place friendly bets at the crawfish races – either way, there will be plenty of fun for children and adults at Valley Fest 2014.

HI Ken,
I can’t find any mention of a pet policy. Since it’s in a public park, I would say pets are allowed.
Thank you!
