“The Boys Next Door” presented by Theatre Huntsville
When: January 22 – 24 @ 7:30 pm, January 24 @ 2 pm
Where: VBC Playhouse
What: An Off-Broadway success, this very funny yet very touching play focuses on the lives of four special-needs men who live in a communal residence under the watchful eye of a sincere, but increasingly despairing, social worker. Recommended for Teen and Adult Audiences.

“Greater Tuna” presented by Bank Street Players
When: January 22 – 24, 29 – 31 @ 7 pm, January 24 & 31 @ 2:30 pm
Where: Carnegie Visual Arts Center, Church Street, Decatur
What: Greater Tuna is the hilarious comedy about Texas’ third smallest town, where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. The eclectic band of citizens that make up this town are portrayed by only two performers.

Peter Pan, Jr.
When: January 30 – 31 @ 7 pm, January 31 @ 2 pm
Where: James Clemens High School Auditorium, County Line Road, Madison
What: Peter Pan, Jr. is the story of the boy who wouldn’t grow up and the girl who has to. After finding his shadow in the Darling family nursery, Peter teaches Wendy, Michael and John how to fly and sweeps them off to Never Land.

Anything Goes presented by Broadway Theatre League

Where: VBC Mark C. Smith Concert Hall
What: ALL ABOARD for this saucy and splendid production of ANYTHING GOES, winner of three 2011 Tony® Awards including Best Musical Revival and Choreography! Peppering this Cole Porter first-class comedy are some of musical theater’s most memorable standards.

American Shakespeare Center on Tour

Ain’t Misbehavin’ presented by Independent Musical Productions

What: Back by popular demand, Ain’t Misbehavin’ is a musical revue featuring the music of Thomas Wright “Fats” Waller.

What: A.R. Gurney’s critically acclaimed romantic comedy tells story of the fifty year friendship of Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner through their letters.

Grissom Theatre presents The Hobbit
When: February 12 – 14 @ 7:30 pm
Where: Grissom High School
What: Bilbo, is asked to leave his large, roomy, and very dry home in the ground in order to set off as chief robber in an attempt to recover an important treasure. It’s the last thing that any sensitive Hobbit would want to do, but great benefit eventually results.

The Odd Couple presented by Lyrique Music Productions

Where: Renaissance Theatre
What: This classic comedy begins in the messy apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. As the action unfolds Oscar has murder on his mind when the clean-freak Felix Unger decideses to room together.

Aesop’s Foibles presented by Fantasy Playhouse
When: February 20 – 22, 27 & March 1
Where: VBC Playhouse
What: Aesop’s fables have never been presented in a more hilarious and clever format, sure to entertain audiences of all ages. The resentful Fox, the egomaniac Hare, the sluggish Tortoise, the zen-like Grasshopper and many more characters from Aesop’s stories come alive onstage.
