Halloween is upon us and if you’re a young professional there is only one place to celebrate: The Haunt at Three Caves 2014. Besides being a ton of fun, this event benefits two great local organizations, the Huntsville Young Professionals and The Land Trust of North Alabama.
Last year, this event sold out in record time. If you didn’t get the chance to attend, here is the ultimate guide to The Haunt at Three Caves 2014 on Friday, October 24, 2014.
Location
1. The Haunt at Three Caves will take place at (shocker) The Land Trust of North Alabama’s Historic Three Caves in downtown Huntsville.
2. Three Caves is a former limestone mine. Translation: choose your footwear wisely. You’ll be walking on grass and gravel. And the terrain is not flat.
Expert tip: Ladies wear flats.
Tickets
3. You’ve got lots of options for Haunt tickets from couples and group packages to extra drink tickets. Basic ticket price is $25. See all your options on The Haunt website.
4. All tickets include the following:
- Parking at Clinton Street Garage
- Transportation to Three Caves
- One drink ticket
- Free admission to participating downtown bars
5. You can purchase tickets online.
Expert tip: This event WILL sell out. Buy your tickets now.
Dress
6. This is a Halloween party, which means costumes are highly encouraged, though not required.
7. There will be costume contests, so dress in your best costume for the chance to win some awesome prizes.
8. I know Halloween tends to be known (especially among the ladies) as a holiday of dressing skimpily, but remember you’re going to be OUTSIDE. Last year it was 50 degrees! Plan accordingly. Or freeze. Your call.
Expert Tip: Plan your costume with cold weather in mind.
Parking
9. There is NO parking by Three Caves. It is in the middle of Bloosomwood. If you park there, your car will get towed.
10. Parking at the Clinton Street Parking garage is included in your ticket price. Just show your PRINTED Haunt ticket purchase receipt to the parking garage attendant.
11. Buses will transport all party goers to Three Caves from the parking garage. At the end of the night, the buses will bring everyone back to the garage.
Expert Tip: Don’t want to wait? Come early. 1st bus leaves at 6:45pm.
Food & Drink
12. There will be plenty to eat and drink at the Haunt.
13. You can grab a bite to eat at one of the local food trucks, who will actually drive in to Three Caves.
14. A cash bar will also be on hand.
Expert tip: Save time by bringing cash for the food trucks and buying drink tickets in advance.
