You ever had one of those weeks? You know the ones.
You’ve had more than anyone should be expected to take, you simply cannot make it through one more exhausting workday and…it’s only Tuesday.
In weeks like these, you undoubtedly need some downtime with your girls, your boys, your tribe, the ones who “get” you, the people who are there with reassurance that, “It’s them, not you!”

Scene Restaurant & Lounge
First up, does your friend group require ambiance, crafty cocktails, and a hip locale? Perfect!
This place has that.
Plus, there’s an appetizer menu rich with carbs and cheese options as well as readily available chick flicks, if the situation is too dire. I’m talking about Scene Restaurant & Lounge at Cinemark in Bridge Street Town Centre. With a recent remodel and brand new menu, they’re definitely worth checking out.
The Casual Pint
Is something less formal and altogether more “casual” your style? If so, give The Casual Pint Huntsville in The Village of Providence a try. They have all the craft beer yumminess you would expect but, fear not, there’s also a wine list available.
*Unexpected Bonus: a terrific back deck overlooking Indian Creek Greenway.
The Martin Bar & Bistro
Need a little perspective? How ‘bout you find it with this great view of beautiful downtown Huntsville from The Martin Bar & Bistro.
Artisan cocktails and classic American fare add to the charm of this modern-day watering hole with a name nodding to its historic Martin Theater past.
Old Black Bear Brewing Company
A quiet and ultra-cool place to talk Rocket City Trash Pandas or just plain ol’ trash is what you’ll find at Old Black Bear Brewing Company in downtown Madison.
*Their menu has Smokey Pimento Cheese on it. What kind of monster wouldn’t want to go here?
Piper & Leaf Artisan Tea Company
If you prefer to keep your friendly gatherings more caffeinated and less inebriated, Piper & Leaf Artisan Tea Company has two local locations to serve you; Piper & Leaf at Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment in Huntsville and the Piper & Leaf Strong Station in Madison.
*Helpful Hint: Try your favorite iced tea in the hot variety. Their stuff works on many levels. Trust me!
