strat·e·gy [strat-i-jee]
1. skillful use of a stratagem: The salesperson’s strategy was to seem always to agree with the customer.
2. a plan, method, or series of maneuvers or stratagems for obtaining a specific goal or result: a strategy for getting ahead in the world.
Most people who take the time to blog, or read a blog, know a good bit about social media. Do you know everything? Maybe. Is there always room to learn more. Absolutely! Social media conferences are one of the most interesting and useful pieces of training that a person can invest in, whether it be for business or personal use. Want to know why? Of course you do! That’s why you’re reading my blog 🙂
Top 5 Reasons You Should Attend Strategy 2014
So, here are my top 5 reasons that you should attend Strategy 2014, a conference crafted by Our Valley Events and Huntsville’s Chamber of Commerce.
Reason #1: Job Security
Want to show your boss that you are putting your best foot forward? Then put your best foot forward! Learning how to properly do that is the best way to start.
Not sure how to ask your boss about Strategy 2014? We’ve done the legwork for you.
Reason #2: Fountain of Youth
Using social media is one of the easiest ways to reconnect with loved ones that you haven’t spoke to in ages. Your bestie from high school who lives in Montana, she’s now just a click away. Keep up with your kids and grandkids that live on the other side of the continental U.S. They will love to hear from grandma on Facebook (just not every 5 minutes).
Reason # 3: Cheat
How often do you think… If I could just see what my competitors were doing, I could stay ahead of the curve.
HELLO!
Pull up your Twitter feed and see what they are doing, and then do it better!
Reason #4: Etiquette

Remember when I said Suzy in Florida doesn’t want to hear from you 10 times a day?
- Learn how many times you can post a day on which handles
- Which content is more appropriate for which site
There’s a method to the madness! Check out the Strategy 2014 agenda here.
Reason #5: Don’t Change
A little stuck in your business ways? That’s ok! We don’t want to change the way you do business; we promise. We just want to innovate your business. Show you new methods, how to wiggle them into your plan, and show you how to make them work for YOU.
