I don’t know about you, but I’ve just about had it with this winter weather. I’m SOOOO ready for spring! One might even say I’m ready to Spring into Summer. I know. Terrible pun, but hopefully you’ll forgive me since I’m talking about an actual event, the Spring into Summer Activities Fair, this Saturday, March 2nd. And it’s not just any event! It’s the best resource for local spring break and summer programs for kids presented by Sci-Quest and The Arts Council.
Who
Who should attend Saturday’s event? Anyone interested in learning about local programs for kids. Programs like spring break and summer camps. Because despite the chilly temperature, spring is just around the corner.
And this event is family friendly! No baby sitter required. In fact, parents are encouraged to bring their kids.
What
During the Spring Into Summer Activities Fair, over 30 local organizations and attractions will have booths set-up throughout Sci-Quest to showcase their spring and summer programs for children and will have representatives there to answer questions and hand out materials. These groups will have programs that focus on science, culture and the arts, a variety that’s sure to have something for everyone.
Here’s just a few of the organizations:
- Burritt on the Mountain
- Fantasy Playhouse
- US Space and Rocket Center
- Huntsville Botanical Garden
- You can see a complete list of the folks who will be attending, on Sci-Quest’s website.
But that’s not all folks! The Fair will also have live music, stage performances, hands-on activities, door prizes, games, face painting, food and more. And remember, it’s FREE!
When
So when IS all this fun? This Saturday, March 2nd from 9am to 5pm. So no matter what you’ve got going on this Saturday, you can fit this fun event into your schedule.
Where
The Activities Fair will be held at Sci-Quest, one of Huntsville’s favorite local attractions. If you haven’t taken your kids to visit this hands-on science center, then take this opportunity!
“We know our guests will find the information they are looking for, while having a fun-filled day at Sci-Quest,” Cyndy Morgan, executive director at Sci-Quest said.
