As an anti-gravity enthusiast from way back, one of my favorite things about living in Huntsville is our relentless pursuit of flight in all its forms.
Thanks to a new attraction on University Drive, we have yet another option to escape the bonds of Earth.
Shakalaka Now Open
I am talking about Shakalaka Extreme Air Sports a 26,000 square foot, bounce-tastic indoor trampoline park with over 60 interconnected trampolines.
Yes, I said 60!
As if the thought of catching a little airtime with your family on the weekend isn’t enough motivation to schedule a visit, Shakalaka has any number of activities to help you get the best bang for your bounce.
I’m talking trampoline dodgeball, a giant foam pit, basketball with 16-foot hoops and trampoline workouts for those who feel they need a more “adult” reason to go.
Oh and I forgot, one more thing, bounce boards. Bounce boards, it would seem, are like skateboards without wheels made for surfing trampolines (I know, I didn’t know that was a thing either) but how cool is that?
So, if you’re looking for a place to plan your next birthday party, try a new fitness plan or just bounce for bouncing sake, give Shakalaka a go.
