More Information
One of our favorite holiday events is back for its 12th season! Santa in the Village is full of Christmas magic at the Arab Historic Village in Arab, Alabama. The Village is transformed to a place where all Christmas wishes come true. Santa in the Village is open every Friday and Saturday starting November 25 and ending December 17 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. weather permitting. The price is $6 per person, and children 2 and under get in for free.
Families can enjoy a wide variety of things to do including seeing Santa Claus himself at the Hunt School within the Village. Children of all ages can tell Santa what they are dreaming of for Christmas and snap a photo with the jolly man too. Santa isn’t the only person that will be there waiting for pictures. The Grinch will be at the Boyd Farmhouse cracking his wise jokes waiting for someone to bring him an onion to snack on.
Children can go pick up reindeer food at the Smalley Grist Mill and pick up a keepsake reindeer shoe at Phillips Blacksmith Shop while they are there as well. If you stop by Ruth Homemakers Clubhouse, you can purchase a hot chocolate and popcorn or swing by Smiths Country Store to pick out sweet bakery treats.
Swing by the Rice Church inside the Village to let your children write their letters to Santa. There is a special post office box that will ensure delivery to the North Pole well before Christmas Eve. There will also be a Christmas ornament decorating station and train rides available at Santa in the Village as well.
Before you head out, take a walk inside Christmas in the Park to see over 2 million dazzling Christmas lights sparkling in the night. The lights will be on from November 25 until December 31 from sunset until 9:30 p.m.
