I’m not a huge sandwich person, so it may be a bit surprising that today I’m writing about the awesomeness of The Sandwich Farm in Huntsville. Just what is so awesome? I can sum it up in 4 words: salads and sweet potato fries.
Sandwich Farm Salads
I was thrilled when Sandwich Farm started offering the option to turn any sandwich into a salad. A real, legit salad that includes mix greens, pickled beets, and salt cured vegetables (brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower), which fans of 3 Skillets will love! Heck they made a brussel sprouts fan out of me!
And did I mention the salads are the same price as the sandwiches?
If you’re looking for some tasty gluten free options, this is a great choice. It also happens to be a great option for folks wanting a paleo option. Obviously this will depend on your actual choice of sandwich, which change up monthly, with a couple staples that always stick around. These aren’t your average sandwiches either; they’re fancy pants everything from falafel to duck to veggie with all the trimmings. Visit the Sandwich Farm website for a full menu.
Heavenly Fries
Now let’s get down to brass tacks: the real reason I’m a big Sandwich Farm fan is their sweet potato fries. Which you can get with sandwich order for an extra $1. Note: if you order a sandwich turned into a salad you do not get a side. But I would recommend shelling out the extra $2.25 and ordering them.
They are the perfect combo of salty and sweet. Crispy, but not too greasy. And just plain yummy awesomeness. I will say this: if you spring for a whole side order, it’s a lot, so consider sharing with a friend.
