Restaurant Review by Andy Meyer of Rocket City Mom
Whether you just finished feeding the ducks and fish at Big Spring Park, expended all your energy running around Biscuits Backyard at Earlyworks, or need a quick bite after a downtown appointment, Sam and Greg’s is the place to “fuel up” with kids.
Why we love sam (and greg)
At Sam and Greg’s, we have always been met with:
- Quick service
- Delicious pizzas and sandwiches
- Gelato flavors that keep you on your toes
- A step stool for the kids in the bathroom
Their outdoor seating is ideal for little ones; they even provide sidewalk chalk to keep the kids busy while you wait for your meal. If you’re in the mood to sit indoors, check out the seating upstairs. If we are with another family we like to take over the whole area, then the kids can be kids, and we spend less time wrangling.
Kid’s Menu
Be sure to let your kids be adventurous with a Cheese Pizza and “do it yourself” toppings. For $3.95 your child gets a cheese pizza with as many toppings as they like. Bambino sized Gelato is $2.00. And if your child doesn’t like pizza, there are chicken strips and fries.

About Rocket City Mom
Rocket City Mom is an online parenting website created in 2010 by a local mom who was new to Huntsville and looking for information on raising kids in the Tennessee Valley. The site now has more than 10 regular contributors, all local moms and dads, who share their insights and experiences with the goal of making life just a little easier for other local parents. On the site, you’ll find reviews of local attractions, a directory of services and businesses that have been mom approved, resource information (i.e. moms groups, support groups, birthday party planner, kids eat free) and much more!
