What’s your favorite board game?
There is a good chance you will find it at Rocket City Gamefest, a three-day tabletop gaming festival and tournament starting April 22.
Over 250 games will be stocked in the event’s game library, and will be available for guests to use all weekend.

So what happens at Gamefest?
Tabletop gaming, of course!
But it is more than just that. Gamefest is an all inclusive gaming experience, with tournaments, lessons for certain games, and play to win opportunities.
There is open gaming every day of the event, where guests are encouraged to bring games from home or check one out from the game library.
Need help learning a game during open gaming?
Just put out the TEACHER NEEDED flag and someone who knows how to play the game will stop by your table for a lesson.
Found an awesome game but need more players to share the love?
Just set the PLAYERS NEEDED flag on your table and connect with other guests.
And what kind of a gaming festival would it be without some epic tournaments?
Players can compete for the chance to rule Rome by playing back to back games of Trajan and Concordia. The warrior with the highest combined score will be declared the ruler of Caesar’s kingdom!
Or if Norse mythology is more your thing, play as a Viking raider in Blood Rage, Champions of Midgard, and Raiders of the North Sea. The player with the highest combined score will join Odin in Valhalla.
For less experienced players who still want to compete there is a third option called Play to Win. Certain games will be played in these tournaments and each participant must play the game all the way through to enter into a drawing. The winner of the drawing will receive a copy of the game that is being played, which includes Run Fight or Die, 1775 Rebellion, Viticulture, and Between Two Cities.
Limited seats for these tournaments are available, so sign up on Gamefest’s Facebook Page.
The festival is hosted at the Holiday Inn – Huntsville Research, where players can also stay in the rooms and get their grub on at the hotel’s restaurant, Hopper’s Bar and Grill.
