It’s almost time for one of my favorite Huntsville events – Rocket City Brewfest.
Do you have your tickets yet? Rocket City Brewfest is May 8-9, 2015 at the Huntsville Depot and Roundhouse.
What is Brewfest?
Believe it or not, I’ve actually met some beer-loving folks who have not yet been to Rocket City Brewfest. For them and any others out there, here is a quick run-down of what you can expect.
Rocket City Brewfest is a fundraiser for Free the Hops, Alabama’s non-profit volunteer organization whose mission is to bring the highest quality beers in the world to Alabama.

Survive the Session
With a 4-hour block of time to try as many new beers (responsibly) as you can, it’s natural to think things through before you commit.
Rocket City Brewfest has a handy survival guide that I highly recommend spending some time with. Find it here.
Also, check out our post from last year – 9 Tips to Enjoy Rocket City Brewfest. It’s a great read, if I do say so myself.
NEW – NEW – NEW
Carie Partain, local Vice President of Free the Hops, gave us an inside scoop! There are several new things at Rocket City Brewfest this year and we are happy to let you know.
- Redstone MWR’S Firehouse Pub presents the kick off of their Rock, Paper, Scissor Tournament!
- There will be a new ice cream vendor making ice cream on the spot with Liquid Nitrogen -SubZero Ice cream & Yogurt shop in Madison. Science meets Beer/Ice Cream floats!
