Got a blog? Got a local business? Like to mix and mingle? Then I’ve got an event for you this Thursday, June 27th: the Rocket City Bloggers Meet and Greet!

A Blogging Event?

The Rocket City Bloggers’ Meet and Greet is a networking event for local bloggers and organizations. Attendees will mix and mingle with business and nonprofit representatives from across Madison County, especially those in the local tourism and hospitality industry.

The event is casual, so you may come and go as your schedule permits. Since it starts at 5:00, you can even come right after work.

And never fear your growling tummy, event co-host The Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau will provide hors d’oeuvres and beverages. Plus we’re having prizes and giveaways by local bloggers, but you must RSVP to get your name in the drawings. Must be present to claim your goodies. RSVP’s can be made online.

All about People

So what is this event really about? In a word: people.

Thursday’s Rocket City Bloggers Meet and Greet is the first step to building that.

The Future

Judy Ryals, President/CEO of the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, expressed the ever-growing role of bloggers in raising awareness for activities and events in the Huntsville/Madison County community.

“More and more, society is turning toward bloggers to learn from their first-hand experiences with products, restaurants, attractions and events,” Ryals said. “We’re excited to host them in the Visitor Center®, and we hope to each learn more about one another.”

And the statistics back up Ryals. Here’s just a few:
