Valentine’s Day is fast approaching….do you have plans?
Whether you happen to have a significant other or a best bud with you on February 14, 2015, the typical dinner-and-a-movie option can seem overplayed for a fun night out.
Instead, solidify your red hot love (or friendship) and “Pour Your Heart Out” with molten iron at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
Personal Design
Inspired by their newest exhibit, “101 Inventions That Changed The World”, the USSRC is teaming up with Birmingham’s Sloss Furnace to combine art and invention for the love-struck people of Huntsville.
On Valentine’s Night, the aptly-titled Pour Your Heart Out event will give guests the opportunity to participate in an adult version of arts and crafts with an iron pour.
The main attraction involves party-goers carving their own message or design into molds. These molds are taken to the Sloss metal artists at the event, who then fill them with molten scrap iron from the on-site furnace. The cooled product is a pair of metal tiles guests can take home, emblazoned with their own personal design.
Plus Music, Drinks & More
In addition to metal art, party members can anticipate a full “Night at the Museum” experience. Pour Your Heart Out takes place in the main museum, and admission into “101 Inventions That Changed The World” is included with every ticket.
Guests are also provided two drink tickets, live music by JUICE, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar.
This year, forget about the movies and instead make Valentine’s Day unforgettable at the Space and Rocket Center.
There could be a scrap piece of metal with your name on it.
