New restaurants are starting to open up here in Huntsville (yay!), but we’re willing to bet there are still a few somewhat new spots you haven’t been to!
Here are 5 new (and new-ish) places to try this weekend:
The Moon Bakeshop just opened last week downtown at The Avenue. People have wasted no time checking out this European inspired bakery. We got there shortly after they opened, and items were already selling out.
We tried a honey cinnamon scone, peanut butter cookie, and cappuccinos. The cookie happened to be gluten-free, and we can honestly say that might have been the best peanut butter cookie we’ve ever had.
They also have a full coffee menu with house-made syrups.

The hype around Offbeat Coffee is real. This spot is part coffee shop and part record store (you can listen before you buy), and it has quickly become a favorite of ours.
They’re big on nostalgia, and it shows through their shop and menu with items like the cereal milk latte and cereal-inspired macarons made locally by Hamley Bake Shoppe.

Oshi has been open at The Avenue (right next to The Moon Bakeshop) for about a year now, but people are always surprised to hear we have a poke restaurant.
They were the first to open in Huntsville, and it’s been one of our go-to restaurants when we want something filling but healthy. The caramelized avocado is something you must experience!

Did you know Huntsville has a secret pizza window? We do, and it’s home to some of the BEST pizza we’ve ever had!
Located inside Lowe Mill (use door number 4), this pizza is made with sourdough which gives it a completely different taste which we LOVE. You can choose a pizza off their menu or make your own. You can even build your own by the slice!

Manic Organic Food Truck launched their brand new menu last week at Salty Nut Brewery so we had to stop by to check it out.
Newly added items include the lamb burger as well as several vegetarian options like portobello burgers and tacos. Their amazing calabacitas dish is now available in a wrap or tacos, and we can’t recommend it enough.
