We love our pets. Like, LOVE love. And we want to keep them safe. From bearded dragons to doodles, we want them to enjoy their lives just like us humans.

And that includes living that pest-free lifestyle. Which, in North Alabama, can be a challenge!

But we’ve got the best tips right here.

Is Pest Control Safe for Pets

Of course it is!

But that’s not to say that there aren’t things to do to make everything as safe as possible.

1. Talk to your pest control service.

Make sure your service knows what animals are a part of your household. That includes everything from your fish tank to the turtle you brought home from your last Greenway walk (don’t act like you didn’t do that!).

2. Decide what to do with each pet.

Your service tech will let you know how long the drying time is for treated areas. It’s generally safest for pets after any chemicals are completely dry. It might be as easy as boarding your dogs for the day or taking them into the office with you (if allowed).

NOTE: We personally know of office visits by bearded dragons and cats. Chat with your boss… it could be doable?

3. Consider regular treatments.

In other words, stay ahead of the pest problem. Elimination and ongoing control is the way to go!

4. Go with “green” or organic treatments.

Green treatments, like Scout Pest Control uses, are healthier for both humans and our pets!

Green Pest Control

What makes green better?

There’s less chance of allergic reactions and accidental poisonings with green pest control practices. These benefits alone should make most folks want to switch to green pest control products.

A few other benefits:

  • Can actually be more effective
  • Don’t contaminate the soil or water
  • Better smell
  • Healthier
Keep your pets safe and “BYE BYE” your pests this year! Now, it’s time to give Scout Pest Control a call!
