A new office is coming to downtown Huntsville. But instead of doling out boring reports and memos, The Office Break Room and Bar will be serving up tasty chow and delicious drinks. And you can look for it soon!
A Peek at The Office Break Room and Bar
I recently spoke to Gregory Glass, one of the owners of The Office Break Room and Bar, and he gave me the inside scoop about all things Office Break Room and Bar. And even gave me a tour of the restaurant.
The Basics
- Location: Downtown Huntsville, in the former 3 Skillets location
- Food type: Italian influenced
- Smoking: Nope
- Open date: Spring 2014
- Drinks: Full bar
“You get the posh of quality food and service without the pretentiousness of price and exclusiveness,” Gregory told me. “It’s a place that you can invite your friends to hang out and the next day you could invite your boss.”
The Food
The menu at The Office Break Room and Bar will be broken up into 5 distinct categories:
- Snacks– appetizers and shareables
- Lunch Break – lighter fare and not too heavy
- Dinner Meeting – bigger portions and more formal fare
- Working Late – guilty pleasures
- Vacation – desserts

& this bar, currently in progress
And the price tag for this fine cuisine? Very affordable! Two people will be able to eat dinner eat for under $30, Gregory told me.
“I want people to have accessibility to technically sound food without the huge price tag,” Gregory said. And I’m with him!
The Bar
The Office Break Room and Bar will have a full bar and stock plenty of local beer options. But their speciality will be wines. Gregory tells me that they will be featuring a host of Italian wines that are highly rated but cost effective, which I can tell you is hard to find!
Gregory gave me a sneak peek at their signature drink menu:
- Office romance
- Sangria
- Bellini
