Over the weekend we visited Cullman, AL to check out the grand opening of Mae’s Food Hall.
What’s a food hall you ask?
Think of a food court you would find in a mall, but rather than being filled with chains these are all locally owned restaurants.
Inside Mae’s you will find 6 restaurants:
- Cantina Taqueria
- Strada di Napoli
- Lichita’s
- Ruckus Bar
- Link’s Hot Dogs & Hamburgers
- and Huntsville’s very own I Love Bacon
There truly is something here for everyone (although it might prove to be a little tricky if you’re vegetarian).
After looking over the menus, we decided on Cantina Taqueria.
We both went with the fish taco and the vegetarian taco, which had an impressive variety of veggies like zucchini, squash, and roasted red pepper.
We also shared an order of chips and salsa, because it almost seems wrong to eat Mexican food without them!
All the way in the back of Mae’s you will find Big E’s Arcade filled with your favorite classic video games, basketball, skee-ball, and darts.
And guess what?
They’re all FREE! Talk about a great way to keep the kids (and adults) entertained while you’re catching up with friends.
Our trip to Mae’s got us even more excited about the food hall projected to be built at the much anticipated City Center here in Huntsville.
Mae’s Food Hall is located at: 110 1st Ave NE Cullman, Alabama 35055.
