This Saturday, March 8, 2014, Huntsville will experience something very special.
Just like the twinkling lights of The Tinsel Trail draw you in with their magical sparkles, creating a wonderful experience to share with family and friends, so too will this First Annual LIT event.
LIT: Light + Tech
So what exactly is LIT?

Here’s a couple ways to describe it:
- LIT= Light + Innovation + Technology
- A collision of arts + engineering through this projection + light experience
- Free light artwork projected onto the Central Bank Building in downtown Huntsville
Whatever you call it, this is a magical treat you won’t want to miss! Perfect for a night out with your kids or a stop on your GNO downtown.
Bonus: It’s free and open to the public. [spacer size=”10″]
But why tell you when I can SHOW YOU? Here’s a sneak peak!
Join the Collision
This amazing technological display is presented by the UAH College of Liberal Arts and is co-sponsored by The Arts Council, Inc. and Downtown Huntsville, Inc.
The lighting displays will run continuously from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm with the majority of the lights on the Central Bank Building on the West Side Square. There will be additional displays, including in Big Spring Park, all creating a spectacular show.
There will also be glow necklaces available to the first 200 people to stop by Harrison Brothers Hardware beginning at 7:00 pm.
A DJ will be playing music to accompany the show.
The Light Experience
There will be some appealing vantage points along the Square. The absolute best way to enjoy the display will be from a window or patio table at one of the restaurants on the North Side Square or the South Side Square.

Downtown Huntsville Inc. has a handy list of downtown restaurants on their website. Be sure to take a stroll around so you don’t miss any of LIT. Keep in mind too that the Quigley Entertainment District will be happening as well, so you can watch the lights with your favorite beverage!
Immersing yourself in the full Downtown Huntsville experience is the best way to make this unique event a success.
