Who is Know Huntsville?
Tom and Joe started their web series a year and a half ago with the goal of highlighting all of the amazing people that make up the Huntsville community.
It turns out that the creation of Know Huntsville was a no-brainer.
Just ask director and host Tom Patterson, who decided to create this videocast because,
“the culture here is rich. There are a ton of people trying to make this place great and we just want to help out, while having a local pint”.
Craft beer-loving Tom Patterson hosts the video cast along with co-host Joe Orozco, and together they spotlight everything from up-and-coming bands, to events, to local artists. Their growing fan-base and collection of over 100 episodes on the internet caught the eye of local television station The Valley’s CW, who was looking to broadcast more local content.
Know Huntsville’s appeal with a younger audience and community-based videos was exactly what the television station was looking for.
The Valley’s CW was quick to offer a chance to broadcast Know Huntsville to a wider audience, in their very own time slot on a regular basis.
The very first Know Huntsville television episode is airing this Saturday, November 21, with two special guests and music by a local artist. Yellowhammer Brewery is hosting their own free viewing party from 2-6 pm, with local music and giveaways.
Be a part of local history this Saturday while enjoying booze, tunes, and sweet prizes at the Yellowhammer facility.
