#1 Sam & Greg’s Pizzeria, Gelateria
Where: 119 Northside Square, Downtown Huntsville
Hours: Mon. – Thurs. 11 am – 9 pm
Fri. – Sat. 11 am – 10 pm, Sun. 11 am – 8 pm
What: Homeade Gelato
Sam & Greg’s is solely responsible for getting Huntsville hooked on gelato.
#2 Pizzelle’s Confections
Where: 2211 Seminole Drive, Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment
Hours: Wed. – Sat. noon – 6 pm, Fri. til 8 pm
What: Drinking chocolate float
In addition to their signature artisan truffles, Pizzelle’s has drinking chocolate floats! A creamy scoop of ice cream floating in their to-die-for drinking chocolate is a must-try summer treat. Your sweet tooth will thank you!
#3 The Cozy Cow
Where: 100 Church Street, in Big Spring Park
Hours: Mon. – Fri. 7 am – 5 pm
Sun. 8 am – 5 pm
What: Smoothies
The Cozy Cow has ice cream too, but for this cool treat recommendation, we are going with their smoothies. You can’t go wrong with the Pina Colada!
#4 Belle Chevre Cheese Shop and Tasting Room
Where: 100 Jefferson Street, North, Downtown Huntsville
Hours: Mon. – Wed. 9 am – 2 pm
Thurs. 9 am – 6 pm, Fri. – Sat. 11 am – 8 pm
What: Goat Cheese ice cream
Belle Chevre & High Road Craft Ice Cream out of Marietta, GA have collaborated on very special treat – goat cheese ice cream. And it is good!
#5 Pop Culture/Suzy’s Pops
Where: Greene Street Market
Hours: Thursday, 4 – 8 pm
What: Frozen pops
