What is Tinsel Trail?
The Tinsel Trail is a display of live Christmas trees in downtown Huntsville. All the trees are decorated in their holiday best.
Where is it located?
2019’s Tinsel Trail will line Big Spring Park East (near the Downtown YMCA and the Huntsville Utilities Building).
How long does it last?
The display will run from November 29, 2019 – January 1, 2020.
Do I have to pay?
Nope! Anyone can enjoy the trees free of charge.
Who organizes this?
The Tinsel Trail is organized run by Downtown Huntsville Inc..
It began as a project of The Downtown 47, a nonprofit charitable organization whose mission was to encourage, support, and promote the ongoing cultural, aesthetic, social and economic vitality of the downtown area of Huntsville, Alabama.
How many years has this been done?
Huntsville’s Tinsel Trail has been lighting up our downtown since 2010! The main goal was to attract visitor’s to the downtown area.
Who decorates the trees?
Each tree is sponsored by a local corporation, group or family, and decorated by its sponsor. Trees can have themes that match the company’s mission, or sometimes they’re just totally off-the-wall! Each tree has a sign with the sponsor and decorator’s names.
