Are you like me and missed out on the space city tattoo expo? Still interested in getting a tattoo? Huntsville has a wide variety of tattoo shops, but one of my new favorites is Arcadia down at Campus 805. Before I tell you about Arcadia, I must tell you about the woman who started it all. Leah Farrow is a local native of Monte Sano. She’s always had a passion for drawing and art and decided to start her own tattoo parlor after feeling unwanted at her first tattoo appointment. Leah believed that she could create a business where anyone could come in and get a tattoo or piercing and feel welcomed, appreciated, and respected for what they were trying to do… and she has!

After shadowing, learning, and tattooing nationwide, Leah moved back to Huntsville at 23 to pursue her dream here. Leah and Arcadia started downstairs of campus 805 as a one-woman show before she began hiring several more artists. With her business and popularity among the tattoo community around town rising, Leah had to find a larger space to fit her crew. In 2019, Arcadia moved upstairs to the 3rd floor in a beautiful space of art, creation, and inclusion.

With the expansion, Leah has added piercings to their list of services, and they’re one of the best places in town to do that too. The piercers at Arcadia are involved with the association of professional piercings, attend the APP conferences, and are constantly learning more about the safest and cleanest techniques there are. Arcadia only uses halo needles which hurt less and are much cleaner. All tools are disposable, and they sterilize on the spot with no clamps.

With nine tattoo artists specializing in different styles and two piercers, Arcadia is ready to help you find your perfect piece. Visit https://arcadiatattoohuntsville.com for more information on each artist and to sign up for their mailing list. Arcadia takes tattoo walk-ins for smaller projects on Friday-Saturday and walk-ins every day for piercings.

Arcadia is something special! Go check them out!

Jake Brasfield has been a Huntsville resident for nearly his entire life. After graduating from the University of North Alabama in 2012, Jake returned to Huntsville to continue calling the Rocket City “home.” As a native of Huntsville, Jake has watched the changes coming to Huntsville for a long time and couldn’t be any more excited about the progress and potential this town has. You will likely find Jake at either a food truck rally, a Trash Pandas baseball game, a Huntsville Havoc hockey game, checking out a local music act, or all of the above. Say hey to Jake if you ever see him around town! He’d love to meet you and tell you all about his home of Huntsville.
