Hubert Family Farms Sunflowers and Haunts
Hubert Family Farms is a must visit in October! Visit for their you-pick sunflowers during the day. Sunflower season is dependent on the blooms and the weather so stay up to date by visiting their Instagram page.
Visit the farm at night all through October on Fridays and Saturdays for The Haunting at Hubert Farms! This is a haunted corn maze in which you’ll have a frighteningly good time! Children must be 10 years or older. For more information visit their website.

Isom’s Orchard Fall Vibes
Isom’s Orchard is great to visit any time of the year for fresh in-season fruits and vegetables but is definitely worth the visit during October. Along with the fresh fruits and vegetables for sale, they have a variety of pumpkins to choose from, fall décor, cider slushies and fresh seasonal flavored donuts (on Fridays and Saturdays). This is a great spot to pick a pumpkin and get those cute pumpkin patch photos while enjoying a slush and donut! They also have you-pick flowers and fruit. Tate Farms Pumpkin Patch
Pick your perfect pumpkin and cut it directly from the pumpkin patch! Tate Farms also has some great play areas for the kids, hay rides, great photo spots for the whole family and a store with seasonal goodies including Pumkin Slushies this year. This is a must do for the full pumpkin patch experience close to Huntsville.

Take a Stroll through Maple Hill Cemetery
Every year, the Huntsville Pilgrimage Association brings history alive with more than 75 costumed characters telling the stories of Huntsville’s past. This event is free to the public (donations are appreciated) and a must do! It’s a great way to learn about Huntsville’s past from the point of the view of the people who built this community. The event is not scary and is family friendly.
This year’s Maple Hill Cemetery Stroll will be held on Sunday October 20th from 1:30pm – 4:30pm. For more information visit the Huntsville Pilgrimage Association’s website.

See the Salem Witch House
Bet you didn’t know that there is a replica of the 17th-century Witch House from Salem located in Huntsville! You can drive by to see it on Walker Avenue downtown. This is someone’s home though so be respectful and admire from afar.
Go Leaf Peeping
The leaves start to change color in Huntsville in October (typically mid-late October depending on the weather) and it’s a beautiful sight! Some great places to see the fall colors is from above at Burritt on the Mountain, Monte Sano State Park, and Blevin’s Gap.

Fright Nights at Wicks Family Field – October 24, 25-26, and 31st, and November 1-2nd. This event features haunted spaces, classic horror films, spooky cocktails, and wicked after dark dance party.
Halloween Bash at Early Works Children’s Museum – October 24-26th 4:30-8:30 pm, tickets grant access to special trick-or-treating
Halloween & Haunted House event at the Orion – This is a free event for the whole family happening October 27th 4-9pm.
Lil Ghosts & Ghouls at Harrison Brothers – Free trick-or-treating event at Harrison Brothers on Saturday October 26th from 2-4pm.
MidCity Monster Mash – This Halloween pop-up is running through Halloween night at The Camp. Featuring Halloween themed drink specials, scary good food menus, spooky and fun photo ops, monsters roaming The Camp, live music every weekend, costume parties, Fall Market every Sunday, and more! Zombie Prom at The Electric Belle – 21+ event with a night of dancing, drinks, costumes and more. Happening on October 26th 7:30pm-Midnight. $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
