It’s Halloween costume crunch time! There are tons of Halloween events happening this weekend and the big day is next Friday.
If you are struggling to figure out that perfect Halloween costume, maybe Huntsville can help. That’s right…. Huntsville.
We found a few Huntsville-inspired Halloween costumes just for you –
#1 Tallulah Bankhead
Tallulah’s career spanned the 1920’s through the 1960’s. One of her “looks” is sure to be an option.
#2 Saturn V Rocket
This DIY rocket costume idea could be a bit challenging to make, but still fun. Get your creative engineer brains working on a way to make your own rocket costume!
Photo found at Blaine and Felicia’s Family Blog.
#3 Astronaut
If you looked at #2 and though “NO WAY”, then go straight for the NASA astronaut costume. We found this one at our own U.S. Space & Rocket Center Space Camp online store.
#4 Craft Beer
Take advantage of Huntsville’s awesome beer scene that also features creative art and brew names. This “6 pack” groups costume idea is super cute… even the tin pie-plate “bottle tops”.

#5 Lily Flagg
Take the idea of this toddler costume, found here on the blog Domestic Adventure, and adapt it to any shape or size. But remember, Lily Flagg was a top butter producer, so camp it up with a blue ribbon and a butter container.
Other Huntsville-centric ideas include:
Rocket Scientist
Antoine Dodson
Dr. Wernher Von Braun
