Hey kids, remember when everyone got real excited that there was a new Star Wars movie coming out back in 1997 and when it did, everyone was real mad and disappointed and wanted to throw Jar Jar Binks off of a cliff? That was a bummer, wasn’t it?

Well I just want you to know that you can still get excited about the Huntsville Epic Comedy Hour this Friday, June 28th and not have to worry about being disappointed. Partly because Jar Jar Binks is not involved at all, but mostly because it’s a great show and has continuously been a hilarious event for all you comedy fans.
The Epic Comedians
So let’s look at Friday night’s show: It’s hosted by Scott Eason, the bald, bearded wonder of Huntsville comedy, a man I personally feel is destined to do good things. Good things, but not necessarily great things.
Other Huntsville comedians for the night include the other ECH host Jason Steinhauser, as well as Huntsville comedy legend Stephen Claybrooks.

Out-of-towners include:
- The return of the highly requested Bailie Clark
- AC Roe
- Kevin Saucier
- Luke Douglas Fields.
- Last but not least, Jake Head will be returning for his third Epic show, and will also be recording a CD.
Huntsville, you have a chance to be on a comedian’s CD! So be on your best behavior, because I’d hate to have to take off this belt.
Why You Should Come
I know you’re already excited, I can tell. But maybe it’s feeling like 1997 and it’s Star Wars all over again, but let me tell you why you should forget that crap and come to the show:

- It’s BYOB
- It’s your chance to support the growing Huntsville comedy scene
- At only $7, it’s one of the cheapest things you can do for fun (movie tickets are like $9 and there’s a good chance the movie will suck, just to put it in perspective)
- After the show, us comics go and drink somewhere and you’re invited to join.
- And of course, you should come to the show because I love you and if you see me at the show and tell me you read this article, I’ll give you a hug

Plus, who doesn’t love comedy? I mean seriously, what is this, North Korea? This is ‘Murica, you’re allowed to laugh and have a good time without fearing some maniacal dictator with a bad haircut.
But don’t tell Kim I said that, because we’re going to try and get him and Dennis Rodman on a show at some point. And Jar Jar Binks. Because, why not, right?
Alright let’s be serious. I have my serious face on right now – Epic Comedy Hour, Friday June 28th, $7, 8 PM, Lowe Mill / Flying Monkey Theater, good times.
I’m gonna go eat another Pop Tart.
May the force be with you,
Justin Ledlow
P.S. – if you can’t make it to this show, come out to the 2 year anniversary show next month, July 26th.
