Huntsville is known for a lot of nerdy things, but we have some pretty cool spots too!
Here’s a look at some of our favorites:
Bandito Burrito
Let’s be real, what ISN’T cool about Bandito? Green bean burritos, Ice Cube on the ice machine, and one of the best patios in Huntsville put this local tex-mex spot at the top of our list!

Straight to Ale Speakeasy
Okay, so maybe this is the coolest “hidden” gem in Huntsville. Slide back some old lockers inside Campus 805 and reveal Straight to Ale’s speakeasy. Inside you’ll find cocktails made with Shelta Cavern Spirits which is Straight to Ale’s own whiskey, vodka, and gin brand.
Offbeat Coffee
From the neon menu behind the bar, to the records for sale, to the blue velvet sofa and colorful wall, there are so many cool factors at Offbeat Coffee.

El Cazador
Taco Bus is definitely an experience and a great place to take out of towners. Authentic tacos, tamales, ceviche, and a rainbow of Jarritos and Mexican Cokes on an old school bus all make for a fun place to grab lunch or dinner.
Mountain Valley Pizza
Mountain Valley Pizza may be slightly hidden and hard to find inside Lowe Mill, but we think that adds to the cool factor. It’s just a tiny pizza window inside the 170,000 square foot building so it’s easy to miss. Since we don’t want you to miss some of the BEST pizza Huntsville has to offer, using door 4 is the easiest way to find it.

The Moon Bakeshop
The modern downtown bakeshop Huntsville was needing, The Moon Bakeshop brings delicious pastries, coffee, and more. As if their location at The Avenue isn’t cool enough, their cruffins and egg muffins are unmatched!

Piper and Leaf Lowe Mill
If drinking tea out of mason jars in a tea shop located inside a 120 year old former cotton mill isn’t your idea of cool then we don’t know what is.
