The Halloween love in Huntsville is REAL.
It doesn’t matter how you feel about candy corn, but it does matter how you celebrate the spooky season! With an old town full of history, it’s Huntsville’s time to shine!
Not necessarily “haunted,” but who doesn’t love to spend the day in a cemetery?
Where: Maple Hill Cemetery
When: October 16, 1:30 – 4:30
Details: One of the largest living history strolls in the nation, with over 75 costumed characters. There will be at least a dozen new characters featured this year. Exhibits will highlight fascinating cemetery history and recent restoration projects. Look for the antique autos in a chronological procession in the southern end of the cemetery.
Known for the possible viewing of an apparition to things that can’t be explained (and just a general spooky feel), go on a Huntsville Ghost Walk!
Where: Downtown Huntsville
When: Weekends through end of October
Details: All walking tours leave from Harrison Brothers Hardware Store promptly at 6 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Walking tours are $10 for adults, and $5 for kids 12 and under. Reservations are required. Every tour night, they offer three completely different walking tours:
- Old Town Historic District
- Twickenham Historic District
- Haunted Downtown
When you want the haunts but also the booze, you go on a Boos Cruise, implementing pedal power. I guess if you are scared… you pedal faster?
Where: Downtown Huntsville
When: Monday – Thursday
Details: Grab a purple cup of your favorite adult beverage from Green Bus Brewing and pedal through dark alleys and empty streets to learn about Huntsville’s haunted past. We’ll stop at two more locations for more cups of courage before heading out for more ghost stories from guides of the Huntsville Ghost Walk. Are you tough enough for our “spirited” trip into the past? Ages 21 and up.
Live your paranormal investigator dreams as you contact the spirits of the Lowry House!
Where: Burritt on the Mountain
When: October 18th, 20th & 21st | 6pm – 8pm
