Punkin Chunkin Fall Festival
- Date and Time: Saturday, October 14
- Location: Big Spring Park East
- Cost: Free to attend, suggested donation of $5 to play games
- Event Information
The Make-A-Wish Alabama Punkin Chunkin Fall Festival will feature a group and individual pumpkin toss contest, food trucks, beer vendors, live music, pumpkins decorated by wish kids, and a kids area full of pumpkin-inspired carnival games.
Punkin’ Pickin’ Extravaganza

- Location: North Alabama Railroad Museum

An alternative to the traditional pumpkin patch, the North Alabama Railroad Museum is combining the thrill of picking a pumpkin with the excitement of a train ride!! Several times to chose from throughout the day.
Maple Hill Cemetery Stroll

History comes alive with over 70 costumed characters representing some of the famous residents of Maple Hill Cemetery. Presented by the Huntsville Pilgrimage Association.
Arts Huntsville’s Pumpkin Patch
- Date and Time: October 16 – 31
- Location: Downtown Huntsville
- Cost: Free
Arts Huntsville’s Pumpkin Patch will showcase the community’s creativity in downtown Huntsville. Carved and decorated pumpkins will be displayed in the windows of downtown Huntsville businesses and the public can vote on their favorite pumpkin.
Scarecrow Trail Night Hike
- Date and Time: Friday, October 20
- Location: Huntsville Botanical Garden
- Cost: Adult Tickets $10; Children Tickets $5; Children under 3 free

Enjoy a family-friendly night hike through the Scarecrow Trail at Huntsville Botanical Garden! Bring your own flashlight. Warm cider and snacks served mid-way. Wear comfortable walking shoes for this mile-long hike!
Doctor Osborn’s Magical Laboratory Comedy Magic Show

- Location: Fantasy Playhouse

Doctor Osborn will bring his annual bag of Halloween tricks and treats back to Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theatre. This is family fun (balloons! magic! comedy!) for all ages. Costumes are encouraged.
The Great Pumpkin Carving Contest
- Date and Time: Friday, October 27, 4 – 8 pm
- Location: Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment
- Cost: $5 to carve
- Event Information
Lowe Mill A&E’s Pumpkin Carving Contest featuring live music, food trucks, pumpkin painting for the kiddos, and more. Bring your own tools and the perfect pumpkin. Choose your category and get to carving.
EarlyWorks Halloween Bash
- Date and Time: Friday, October 27, 4:30 – 7:30 pm
- Location: EarlyWorks Alabama Constitution Village

Bootanica

Put on your costumes and come on out to Huntsville Botanical Garden for a happening Halloween party. We’ll have games and activities, hay rides, hula hoop contests, pumpkin painting for the kids, creepy critters and Steve the DJ helping with the Halloween fun.
Teen Zombie Prom
- Date and Time: Saturday, October 28, 8 – 12 pm
- Location: Huntsville Madison County Public Library
- Cost: $10 in advance and $15 at the door

This year we’re repeating the Humans vs. Zombies theme that was so popular last year. We’ll have a huge Humans vs. Zombies game, followed by the Zombie prom. Bring your own labeled Nerf gun and darts for kicking some zombie tail. Teens and tweens ages 12-18 are invited.
Spooky Space Spectacular
- Date and Time: Tuesday, October 31, 4 – 8 pm
- Location: U.S. Space and Rocket Center
- Cost: $20 for a family of up to five or $5 per person

Come dressed in your best costume and join us as the Rocket Center holds the third annual Halloween Spooky Space Spectacular. Activities include a costume contest, hands-on science activities and more. The Space Shot, G-Force, and Lunar Lander simulators are also part of the fun, weather permitting.

Fright Nights: Theater Du Vampire

Theater Du Vampire is a unique haunted attraction featuring both talented actors and real-life ghosts. Guests will get to meet Bram Stoker, and venture into the refuge he has created for his beloved creatures of the night.
The Haunt at Three Caves
