With more local cons and nerdy events than ever, we were pumped to compile 2019’s list of upcoming attractions.

- Kinky Boots at VBC Concert Hall: January 4-6
Wear your heart on your heels in this kooky and outrageous musical.
- Huntsville Comic Con 2019: January 18-19
Started by Lowe Mill’s resident comic artists and hosted at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment itself, Huntsville Comic Con will feature more guests, panels, and workshops than ever!
- Rocket City Gamefest IV: January 25-27
It’s the small con with the big library! Gamefest will feature tabletop tournaments, 24-hr open gaming area, unpublished game demos, and more.
- Mad Scientist Bash: January 26
Enjoy mad fun at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center with live music, themed food and drinks. Proceeds benefit STEM based children’s programs and scholarships.
- Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo: March 9-10
It’s back and bigger than ever at the VBC South Hall with celebrity guests, panels, cosplay contests, and more!
- HudsonAlpha Double Helix Dash: April 2
Trace the double helix pathway that takes you by HudsonAlpha in this 5K and one-mile twilight run for childhood genetic disorders research.
- ChargerCon: April 6
The UAH con is back and keeping it techy with video game tournaments, workshops, and a retro arcade. Did we mention it’s free?
- TEDxHuntsville: April TBD
Join TEDxHuntsville at UAH for the annual event that celebrates Technology, Entertainment, and Design in the Rocket City
- Avengers: Endgame: April 26
In the aftermath of Thanos’ destruction, how can the remaining Avengers bring their vanquished allies back?
- Free Comic Book Day: May 4
This year Free Comic Book Day falls on the same day as Star Wars Day-so celebrate with a free comic! Pick one up at The Deep, Haven, or any other local comic book shop.
- Con Kasterborous: June 8-9
The ultimate Doctor Who fan convention is back with special guests, panels and more.
- Dixie Derby Girls Star Wars Night: July 13
Our local roller derby league’s geekiest theme night attracts Star Wars fans far and wide. Witness the derby girls flex their skills and meet some of your favorite characters!
- HAMACON 10: July 19-21
This convention is an anime fan’s dream. This year’s con will be bigger than ever and have panels, guests, and kickass vendors.
- UAH Hockey Season Starts: October TBD
Support your local sports teams and cheer on the UAH Chargers when their 2019-2020 season begins!
- HAMACON Mini Con: November TBD
The smaller version of Huntsville’s favorite anime convention, HAMACON Mini is one day chock full of panels, cosplay and more.
- Nerdy Noel: December TBD
Get your gift list knocked out for the holidays with the vendor extravaganza put on by Komai’s Oh My!
- Star Wars Episode IX: December 20
The climactic ending of the new trilogy will have everyone (including us) on the edge of our seats.
