If you are in search of local, natural and sustainable foods, there are a variety of CSA’s, co-ops and grocers making it happen every day of the week in the Rocket City.

CSA's

What is a CSA (Community-supported agriculture)?

Here are the basics: a farmer offers a certain number of “shares” to the public which consists of a box of seasonal produce. Interested consumers purchase a share (aka a “membership”) and in return receive their box of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season.

Duncan Farms is a small 60 acre, permaculture-based, family farm in Gurley, just outside of Huntsville! We believe in and actively practice using no synthetic fertilizers, chemicals, pesticides, herbicides or anything that could be deemed harmful in the production of the food on our farm. You can expect items such as beef, pork, chicken, eggs, vegetables, fruits and more. Our program helps families eat seasonal and locally while providing our consumers with the ability to build a strong, equitable food system locally.
