3rd Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament
Saturday, September 30th 12:00pm
MidCity District is hosting the 3rd Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament to benefit local organization, HATCH HSV. Food, drinks, LIVE music by N’guvu, more music and entertainment curated by local DJs, a water slide, and more fun for the whole family! This event is FREE and open to the public! Patrons are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, family, friends, and pets!
Venardos Circus
Thursday, October 19th – Sunday, October 29th
Back by popular demand the fabulous Venardos Circus, a Broadway-style animal-free circus, is returning to Huntsville! The show will be held in MidCity District with its all-new “Let’s Build a Dream” Tour from October 19 – 29, 2023. This season the wondrous Venardos Circus cast will take audiences on a journey under the big top as it unveils a fresh, magical, and all-new experience for fans. The show features an original score, amazing performers, stunning lighting, and dazzling costumes. The 2023 Venardos Circus is traveling with a new, custom-crafted, Italian-made red-and-white striped tent that offers expanded seating around a central stage for an immersive experience.
MidCity Pumpkin Patch
Sunday, October 1st – Tuesday, October 31st
The MidCity Pumpkin Patch is back again during the entire month of October. Shoppers can find pumpkins, mums, gourds, and MORE! Stock up on all your fall needs with MidCity this October! The Pumpkin Patch will be located in The Camp parking lot and will be hosted by Reed’s Farms.
MidCity Monster Mash
Friday, October 13th – Tuesday, October 31st
MidCity Monster Mash is back for another year of tricks and treats. From October 13th – October 31st MidCity partners with The Camp to create spooky and fun experiences for guests like costume contests, karaoke, Halloween-themed cocktails and food, LIVE music every weekend, a pumpkin patch, spooky characters, all the instagram-worthy photo opps, and MORE. This pop-up event is FREE to visit. Halloween is one of the best times of the year, and The Camp and MidCity LOVE going all out for this holiday!
Halloween Glow Party with The Beastie Goys
Saturday, October 28th – 7:00pm
The Camp is throwing their 2nd annual GLOW PARTY with The Beastie Goys on Saturday, October 28th. Everything kicks off at 7:00pm. Patrons can expect fun music with The Beastie Goys, black lights, neon, glowsticks, face painting, drink specials, food specials, and MORE! This event is free.
Whistlestop BBQ Festival
Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st
Whistlestop BBQ Festival is BACK reimagined and better than ever! This Huntsville tradition is well – known to locals and BBQ lovers across the region, and MidCity District is partnering with i3 to bring it back to benefit Earlyworks. Guests can expect delicious BBQ tastings, People’s Choice BBQ competition, food trucks and other food options, cocktail and mocktail drinks, BBQ vendors, artists, and artisans, a Bud Light tailgate zone for football fans, LIVE music with Carver Commodore headlining Friday night, and JJ Grey and Mofro headlining Saturday night, and MORE!
This event is ticketed. Whistlestop tickets are now on sale HERE. It is family-friendly, but pets are not allowed in the gates.
Halloween and Haunted House at The Orion
Saturday, October 28th 4:00pm – 9:30pm
The Huntsville Police Department and Huntsville Parks & Recreation are hosting the ultimate Halloween party at The Orion Amphitheater on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 4 – 9:30 PM to get everyone in the spirit during the spooky season. The haunted house opens at 6 p.m. Costumes are encouraged but not required! This FREE community event features Trunk or Treat, bounce houses, food trucks, a vendor market and so much more.
Hauntsville Film Festival at The Orion
Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st
The Orion Amphitheater and Hello Huntsville Horror present HAUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA: a brand new horror film festival coming to Rocket City this October 20-21! 🎃
Featuring two nights of bone-chilling horror films and the Huntsville premiere of two slasher flicks made right here in Alabama, macabre markets with local artists and businesses, costume contests, pumpkin carving, and so much more – HAUNTSVILLE is the perfect place to celebrate spooky season in North Alabama.
Lace up your ballet shoes and join us on Friday, October 20 as we present a Women in Horror double feature with the Oscar-winning psychological horror BLACK SWAN (2010) and Dario Argento’s witchy classic SUSPIRIA (1977).
The following night, celebrate Alabama horror filmmakers at the Huntsville premiere of THE THIRD SATURDAY IN OCTOBER PART V and THE THIRD SATURDAY IN OCTOBER – two new slasher features shot entirely in North Alabama. Plus, stick around after for a Q&A with the folks behind the film!
