Enable Madison County Celebrates 120 Ramps and Repairs Ahead of Annual
Fundraiser
Enable Madison County is marking a major milestone ahead of its annual fundraiser: 120 wheelchair ramps built and repaired in the last 12 months for aging and homebound residents throughout Madison County.
For nearly 50 years, Enable Madison County, formerly CASA of Madison County, has helped residents remain safely in their homes. This milestone reflects both growing community need and the organization’s ongoing commitment to meeting it.

“This milestone is a testament to the power of partnership,” said Zane Drost, Executive Director of Enable Madison County. “Through the dedication of our volunteers, donors, and partners, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors.” This year’s work served clients ranging from age 32 to 101 and included 24 ramps for veteran families, and is currently processing a request for a 7-year-old child, underscoring the continued need.
“The most powerful moment is watching a homeowner use their ramp for the first time,” said Anthony Graham, a volunteer ramp lead. “That’s when you realize this work is more than just lumber and screws, it’s freedom.”
This milestone comes as Enable Madison County prepares for A Night for Enable: Disco Nights on April 16 at The Royal at Stovehouse Event Center, its annual fundraiser supporting these essential services.
Enable Madison County’s mission is to enable the aging and homebound to live at home safely, independently, and with dignity.
