Don’t know where to take a scenic walk or where to grab the freshest fruit in Huntsville? Well you’ve come to the right place.
Here is a list of places and experiences that will allow you to get fit, while having a spectacular time.

#1 Greene Street Market
Fresh fruit, relaxing music, and the “to die for” Piper & Leaf tea. You have come to the right place.
Greene Street Market allows you to indulge in and buy delicious food, while hearing relaxing music and socializing with the citizens of Huntsville.
After you have feasted on food, you can view the artistic side of the market, as well as borrow a bike for free at the market and explore the beautiful sites of downtown Huntsville.
Where: the corner of Greene Street and Eustis Avenue in downtown Huntsville

#2 Monte Sano State Park
Do your parents ever tell you that you need to get out of the house and get some exercise? Grab some friends and head down to Monte Sano State Park.
Monte Sano State Park has a variety of trails from extremely difficult to very easy, and each trail has a beautiful view with spectacular nature throughout the trail.
In addition to trails, there is a large playground, several astonishing overlooks, and plenty of trees to hang your enos.

When: 8am-5pm everyday
Cost: $5 per person, $2 ages 4-11, seniors, & military, kids 3 and under are free
#3 Flint River Greenway & Canoeing
The Flint River Greenway is a beautiful walking and biking trail that is very clean and lengthy with multiple routes. Not only can you walk and bike the trails, but you can also canoe down the Flint River alongside the trails.
The Flint River is a relatively easy river to paddle with beautiful nature throughout the excursion.
There are picnic areas scattered throughout the greenway, as well as restrooms.
Where: East Huntsville, Hampton Cove, Hwy. 431, from Big Cove Creek Greenway to Pedestrian Bridge at the Flint River

#4 Harmony Park Safari
The Harmony Park Safari is a drive-thru zoo that allows you to see and pet exotic and endangered animals.
If you purchase food at the entrance, you are able to feed the animals and they will get much closer and friendlier if you do so.
Once you are done with the drive-thru portion of the zoo, you may visit the animals that are unable to roam freely.
Where: 431 Clouds Cove Road, Huntsville
When: 10am-7pm everyday
Cost: $8 per person, kids 2 and under free; food buckets $5
