We have December birthdays all around us. Best friends, a husband, and even our one of our own staff members. And none of those birthday babies want to do holiday things on their birthday.
There’s only one big Christmas birthday party and they are usually pretty happy to let Baby Jesus have the spotlight.

We put together a fun list of things to do around Huntsville to celebrate that December Birthday and make memories that have nothing to do with tinsel and lights.
- Go to a Huntsville Havoc Game
There are several home games this month. Find the schedule here. And for even more fun, find there’s promo schedule here. There’s even a Game of Thrones night.
- A day at the Huntsville Museum of Art
There are several new exhibits, including Norman Rockwell: Behind the Camera and Cut Up/Cut Out. Top it off with drinks at Pane e Vino and a walk through the West side of the park, which is Tinsel-Trail free.
- Art After Hours
Have a fun night at Lowe Mill A&E meeting artists and enjoying the reception on December 15. Maybe you will even get a new piece of art for your birthday!
- Jim Parker’s Songwriter Series
A great night of music and storytelling, if you’ve never been before you should put it on your list of “things to do” in Huntsville. Make plans to discover your new favorite song on December 23.
- TV & Movie Hits presented by Huntsville Symphony Orchestra
On December 31, the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra is bringing your favorite movie and TV songs to life. Sounds like a fun birthday outing… what are you waiting for?
