What Everyone Should Know About The Color Run Huntsville
The Color Run partners with local charities, and for Huntsville they have chosen Arts Huntsville. A colorful event to benefit an organization that brings so much color to our community.
In the interest of making sure you’re prepared, here are 10 helpful tips.
In the Know List – 2016 Edition
1. Be prepared!
Understand that you will get color everywhere. EVERYWHERE! But this year, it’ll smell fantastic!
2. Close your mouth when running through color zones.
The color is a fine powder and you want to keep it out of your mouth and eyes.
3. Wear sunglasses.
Sunglasses can help keep color out of your eyes. Or goggles…if you’re going for that steampunk tropical look.
4. Keep your phone in a ziplock.
You gotta have protection! Don’t whip that phone out for a selfie, no matter how bad you want to, unless you’re clear of the color zones. The powder can get in every crack of your phone.
5. Take a before and after photo or video!
Or Snapchat story. You know, whatevs. Your video probably won’t have smell-o-vision though. Sorry.
6. Stick a few tissues in your pocket.
You will get doused with color every kilometer. Having a tissue on hand will help in case your nose gets tickly!
7. Buy makeup remover wipes.
They work great to get the color off your skin.
8. Bring a towel to sit on in your car on the way home.
9. Plan to stick around and enjoy the after-party.
This tropical themed event will have and awesome afterparty with music and a rainbow beach. Enjoy it…you deserve it after running, walking or dancing that 5k.
10. Have Fun!!
