Summer is here and we wanted to help you think beyond the same old movie and dinner.
So, we checked in with our best girlfriends for their go-to outdoor dates.
It’s time to stock up on the SPF, and head outside!
The 5 Best Outdoor Dates in Huntsville
1. Go berry picking and make a dessert to share
Berry picking is easy, relaxing and fun. And no, you don’t have to be a great cook. We know from experience. 😉 Chocolate covered strawberries are both easy and delish.
2. Go canoeing or kayaking at Ditto Landing, or the Bat Cave
Wet and wild fun, mixed with a bit of adventure? What more could a date ask for?

3. Walk your dog
Take your pup (or borrow a friends) to a park for an afternoon of play. Running around with your pooch is the perfect way to get energized.
Here are a few parks that local pups love.
- The Dog park behind AM Booth’s Lumberyard
- Big Spring Park
- Monte Sano State Park Trails
4. Rent a bike and patio hop
Don’t have a bike of your own? Not a problem. Zagster bike share stations are located throughout Downtown Huntsville. Park, pick a bike and ride to any (or all) of the patios in Downtown Huntsville.
5. Go geocaching and eat pizza overlooking Big Spring Park
Want to see if you work well together? Geocaching is an app where you search for hidden items based on GPS location. If you worked together well, go for pizza and beer at Pane E Vino after.
Argued about who was in control? Bail and pick up carry-out on the way home.
