Last year was the first time I went to the Good Day Art Festival, and since then, I have been waiting for it to come around again. Good news.. it’s this Saturday, May 12th. It’s at Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment, outside around the water tower.
Making Good
What makes it so good? Well, here are the ingredients:
- Take creative activity for kids from very young to very old
- Add music to set the festive mood
- Throw in some live performances throughout the day
- Sprinkle with sidewalk chalk (and there is sure to be glitter somewhere)
- Stir in some kid oriented booths and community groups
- And top with a parade where everyone is invited to participate!
Fun for ALL
What is so different about this festival is that it’s not just adults putting on an event for the kids….everyone is having fun.
It’s not flashy or high tech or expensive; it’s kids laughing and dancing and hoola-hooping and creating, and grownups letting themselves do the same.
And though it’s free, donations will be happily accepted to assist Lowe Mill’s sponsorship of AAA’s playground project. This will go on RAIN or SHINE! All children must be accompanied by an adult.
