Summer Mondays are about to be filled with rhythm, flavor, and fun as Concerts in the Park returns to Big Spring Park for its 20th season.
Hosted by Arts Huntsville and Huntsville Parks & Recreation, this free concert series runs every Monday evening from June 2 through August 4, turning the heart of downtown into a lively celebration of local music and community spirit. Concerts take place from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and even leashed pets to enjoy the weekly festivities.
This year’s lineup spans genres and generations, with two acts featured each night:
June 2: Maclin & Co. and JUICE
June 9: Maneuver Center of Excellence Band (MCoE) from Fort Moore (Two-set performance for Armed Forces Week with downtown fireworks!)
June 16: Tommy “Saxlegend” Friend & Company and Midnight 5 (Juneteenth Celebration)
June 23: Double Barrel and Otis Walker Band
June 30: The Grasstronauts and Michael Goldsmith Band
July 7: GORRIO and Rocket City Latin Band
July 14: The Nerve and JEDEye

July 28: CYPRSS and Levon
August 4: Surprise Lineup – bands to be announced!
Two special themed nights anchor the season
June 9 honors Armed Forces Week with a patriotic performance by MCoE and a fireworks finale.
June 16 celebrates Juneteenth, honoring freedom, unity, and the richness of African American culture through music.
Food + Flavor + Community
Local food trucks and vendors will be on-site each week with a wide variety of bites and drinks. Expect to see favorites like: Golden Years Ice Cream Parlor & Diner, Iceworks, Vujee Vegan, Southern Wagyu, Wiener von Braun, Big Flavor Tenders and Wings, O Taste & See BBQ, Piper & Leaf Tea Co., Cream on Wheels, Rocket City Hibachi, Yum Yum’s Gourmet Popcorn & Lemonade Stand
Whether you’re craving hibachi, BBQ, or handcrafted tea, there’s something for everyone. Feel free to bring your own picnic, too – just make sure to leave room for dessert.
Come Together, Rocket City
“For two decades, Concerts in the Park has been Huntsville’s quintessential summer soundtrack,” said Arts Huntsville Executive Director Allison Dillon-Jauken. “It’s more than music—it’s a weekly gathering of neighbors, a celebration of culture, and a reminder of what makes this city so special.”
Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, make plans to spend your Monday evenings in Big Spring Park this summer. Great music and great company – for free.
