Campus 805

Website
School’s out forever at Campus 805 but you can still go back to campus and find all kinds of things that would make school, well, cool.
There’s too much on campus to cover in one post so make sure you check out their website for everything that’s going on.
Want to swing an axe or a club? (Not in a murdery way. I promise.) You can do that on campus. Looking for a bite to eat or a sweet treat? Also covered at this repurposed school. Looking for tacos, pizza, sushi, a burger or some beer? Yes times fives. A cocktail and live music? Double yes. And now, you can even sing your own heart out at Campus 805’s newest spot-Lipz Lounge.
Read on for the best ways to go back to school. (Anybody else have Adam Sandler in their head? Did I just date myself?)
Want a beer? Campus 805 is home to two of Huntsville’s most popular breweries: Yellowhammer Brewing and Straight to Ale. (Both have dog friendly patios.) Straight to Ale features yummy burgers, poutines, wings and more while Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza is housed within Yellowhammer. You can’t go wrong with either one.

You can also choose from a wide selection of beers at Hops N’ Guac with their self-serve taps of 50 craft beers and cider. And there’s tacos of course. Who doesn’t love tacos?

Maybe sushi is more your thing. Rock N’ Roll sushi is on campus, with a dog friendly patio, and even includes some items for those of us who may not love sushi. (Hi. It’s me.)
If you want to get in the swing of things you can do that too-with a golf club or an axe or even some smooth ballroom moves.
X-Golf Huntsville is a virtual golf course allowing you to enjoy the game even when the weather is less than optimal. Make an afternoon out of it with beer, wine and food.

Civil Axe Throwing allows you to unleash your inner warrior with Axeperts to guide the way. Fun and safety are top of mind here so make sure to don your close-toes shoes if you plan to throw some axes on your next trip to campus.
Dancing more your speed? Check out Huntsville Ballroom. We walked by and peeked in on a class and it looked like everyone was having a blast.
If playing some classic arcade games is more your speed, Campus 805 has options for that as well. Ronnie Raygun’s and Pints and Pixels are both onsite with pinball, arcade games, Skee-Ball and more. Pints and Pixels’ patio is dog friendly and both feature beverage options.

Maybe you want to sing your heart out in a cringey way a la Lorelai Gilmore. (You can obviously sing well. I may be projecting here.) Guess what? You can now do that at Campus 805. Straight to Ale has recently transformed Third Circle Cellars into Lipz Lounge. Starting at 9pm on Friday and Saturday evenings, Lipz Lounge is open to the public for karaoke. The venue is non-smoking and will feature a cocktail menu using Straight to Ale spirits and they won’t be available anywhere else. (It is 18 and up.)
Want a more adults only vibe at places that frequently have live music? The Bar at 805 or Lone Goose Saloon are your answers. Both are 21 and up and both have dog friendly patios.
If you want a new look, you can take care of that on Campus too.
Fringe Salon has oodles of talented stylists for every cut, color or style you may want and now you can do a little shopping too as they’ve just re-opened their Fringe Goods. (My daughter picked up the cutest shorts and sunglasses.)

Want to make more of a permanent commitment? Arcadia Tattoo can help with your piercing and tattoo needs.
If you’re over here thinking Campus 805 is strictly a later in the day stop, you’d be wrong. Offbeat Coffee Studio and Parlor Doughnuts have all kinds of caffeinated goodness and pretty yummy bites too. Offbeat has some amazing seasonal drinks, I am eyeing the Galaxy Latte, along with biscuits, scones, bagels and more. My daughter enjoyed a Lavender Latte from Parlor and we couldn’t get over the doughnut flavor combos there.

Campus 805 also has space for private event rentals.
I am pretty sure I could ace any class at Campus 805 but I want to know-what’s your must do at 805?
