Welcome to Studio House

People always have a hard time looking for new decor for their homes. Sometimes it tends to be a bit on the expensive side, or it just really doesn’t fit what they may have been looking for. Well, a new shop has just opened here in North Alabama that may have what you’re looking for……Studio House.

Studio House is a new home decor store that opened last week in Owens Cross Roads. It is a family owned business that specializes in repurposing and selling home decor. The minute you walk into the shop you get a great feel for the shop. The house they turned into the shop is around 100 years old, and a lot of work went into making it look how it is today. Yanely and her team put in tireless work to get it to where it is today.

 Yanely Allen, the owner of the store, is extremely proud of what it has become so far. While the shop has only been open for a short time, she’s excited to see what the future has in store. Having had a chance to talk to her and her sister, Yazmin, they both love what it has the potential to become.

“I felt as though there was a niche for what we have. To be able to offer what we have and showcase it is great.” Yanely said.

Studio House definitely has a lot of different products to offer. Dressers, coffee tables, chairs, even dream catchers! All of the products that they have are hand made by people in the area, and most of the other products they get are from estate sales and auctions. While the store has a lot of different rooms, Yanely still has some ideas for other rooms that she hasn’t used yet. She wants to be able to utilize every thing she can to make Studio House more than just a home decor shop.

I was impressed with what they have to offer. An assortment of tables, bags, shoe horns, pillows are nice to see and appealing. A lot of what they have in store is worked on and fixed to bring the products back to life. In further looking at what the store has, I asked how long it takes to work on the pieces they get in.

“Normally anywhere between four to five days. It takes a lot of work to make sure these get done.” Yanely stated.

While they have great home decor, Studio House also offers mini photo sessions for kids! Every month they will have a different theme for the pictures. Back to School is the theme for this month. The photo shoots last around 15 minutes and you get 5 edited digital pictures, all for $115. Check them out for September’s theme!

For anyone who wants really great looking decor for a good price, I’d highly recommend Studio House. Great atmosphere, awesome people and a lot to look forward to.
