Our Valley Events Becomes We Are Huntsville

We are proud to announce today that Our Valley Events is under new ownership, and is now We Are Huntsville. 

Our Valley Events (OVE) began 11 years ago, as an answer to the call of young professionals for a single event calendar of all the things to do in Huntsville. OVE became that central calendar and then expanded with original content and promotions to showcase all that our community has to offer.

OVE also partnered with non-profits, from the very beginning, to strengthen our community and support these valuable resources of the arts, culture, tourism, wellness, and philanthropy. 

OVE was founded by Laurie Heard and Larkin Grant. Together, they grew OVE to its height of 65,000 unique website visitors each month and over 260,000 monthly page views. From the success of OVE, Laurie and Larkin began to help other companies in their digital marketing efforts. This led to the creation of Move Digital Group, a successful Huntsville-based digital marketing agency. 

New owners, Amy Jones and Katelyn Henderson, have both worked as content managers for OVE and are excited to take over the website and expand this amazing local resource. Because of their previous involvement, Amy and Katelyn are both committed to taking things to the next level, while honoring the foundation OVE was built on.

Now known as We Are Huntsville, look for exciting new content, a fresh calendar look with an easy new interface for adding community events, fun new collaborations, and more. Be patient, however, as these changes take place. OVE was grown over 10 years, so we will need some time to fully transform into We Are Huntsville.
