Abby Owen always wondered why she had to travel out of town to attend makers markets when there were so many talented artisans right here in Huntsville.
As an event curator, she had to showcase the variety of makers this city had to offer – so she decided to create a makers market event of her own.

For anyone who doesn’t know what a makers market is, it’s an event featuring local or regional artisans showcasing their own merchandise for purchase at different booths.
It is a fast-growing movement that embraces local goods and personally made items.
After teaming up with Downtown Huntsville, Inc., Abby set out assembling an amazing variety of local makers. These artisans call the Tennessee Valley home and specialize in food and drink, home décor, vintage collectibles, pet products, and more.
Hunt + Gather will take place Saturday, October 28.
This is an event that will last all day, starting with a VIP shopping hour from 9 – 10 am (tickets for this are available on Eventbrite). The public shopping hours are from 10 am – 6pm., after which will be an after-party with live bands and food trucks until 9 pm.
The event is free to attend (excluding the VIP shopping hour) and is located at the Regions Bank Building drive-in on the corner of Spragins Street and Holmes Avenue.
For the latest updates, on vendors, entertainment, and more, follow Hunt + Gather on their official Facebook page.
