Autumn is open for business!
We want you to enjoy this gorgeous weather and take advantage of pumpkin everything.
You deserve it… because 2021!
Here are a few of our favorite fall activities that are 100% outside.
4 Ways to Have Fall Fun Outdoors
1. Have a Picnic
We have such beautiful places for an Autumn picnic. A couple of favorite spots include:
You can also picnic in Big Spring Park. Bonus if you plan it during a food truck event!
2. Take a Walk
If you want a change-up from your normal hikes (which are way better in cooler weather because less snakey) try a Huntsville Ghost Walk.

You can also just hit a greenway for a stroll. One of Huntsville’s greatest treasures is its miles of paved walkways.
3. Use Your Wheels
Outdoor Fall fun should include bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, and more. Why?? Because cooler weather means less sweat!
If you don’t have wheels of your own, check out the Downtown Huntsville bike-share program with Tandem Mobility bikes. Find stations all around downtown.

4. Pick Something
This is the best time of year to pick apples and pumpkins. Some pumpkin patch locations include Tate Farms and Lyon Family Farms.
You can find apples at Scott’s Orchard and pick them yourself. If you are feeling really adventurous, take them home and make a new recipe.
We recommend something baked with lots of brown sugar!

We are all looking to have fun and enjoy the best of the Tennessee Valley weather! Many of us also have other reasons for maybe keeping to the outdoors. You can be 100% outside and not miss out on a thing with this list.
Happy Autumn Huntsville!
