Our Valley Events is so excited to add Huntsfull reviews! Let us know what you think.
Super Chix recently opened a location close to our office, so we’d been wanting to visit for a few weeks. We finally got our chance and it was delicious!
We are so excited about the new restaurants opening up in Huntsville, and this one is definitely a keeper!
It was really busy, but we actually got our food surprisingly fast. The manager(owner) came out to check on us midway through our meal, which we really appreciated, especially with how busy everything was!
We will definitely be back!

BBQ Cheddar Fried Chicken Sandwich – $7.00
Rating – 5/5
Wow. This place was so great! I’ve been wanting to visit since I first heard about Super Chix. And I definitely wasn’t disappointed. The clean, bold interior of the restaurant made us excited for the food that was to come.
Entering the building at around 11:40 AM on a Friday we could see that the place was already crowded and there was a long line to order at the counter.
But we didn’t mind – we were busy looking at the menu options while we waited and it seemed like we didn’t have to stand there long.
Immediately after ordering, we found a table outside and our food came out about 5-7 minutes after we sat down, leaving us just enough time to get our drinks at the soda fountain and explore all of the different sauce options (I loved how they had sauce cups and lots of different sauces from which you can choose so you can try lots of different kinds!)
Once our food was out we saw that it was beautifully constructed and plated. Everything I had tasted absolutely delicious and I couldn’t improve on it! The BBQ chicken sandwich had the perfect amount of sauce, onion rings, and cheese on top of a HUGE chicken fillet.
Absolutely loved my sandwich and would order it again right now if I could!

Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich – $6.50
Rating – 5/5
Super Chix is somewhere we have wanted to go ever since it opened a couple of weeks ago. The chicken breast was bigger than the bun, so I had to get a fork and knife to eat it until I could pick up the sandwich. Even though it was soaked in sauce, the chicken was able to retain a crispy consistency, and the bread didn’t get soggy either. The sandwich was really good all-around and had the perfect amount of spice and flavor I was looking for!
A large order of fries and an order of fried pickles was plenty to go around the entire table. The cajun fries were seasoned similarly to that of the cajun fries at Five Guys and tasted fantastic. The fried pickles were cooked perfectly; when you took a bite out of them it didn’t pull the pickle out of the breading.
Also, there is no need to go back to the counter if you forget to ask for sauce! Plenty of sauces were readily available near the drink fountain, ranging from buttermilk ranch to buffalo, along with to-go containers to pour them into if you are on the go.

House Salad with Grilled Chicken – $10.00
Rating – 3.5/5
Everybody seems to appreciate and love this new restaurant! It has a very clean and modern feel as a restaurant, with a black, white, and yellow color scheme. There is indoor and outdoor seating, as well as high top tables. They have big screens with their menu on them so you can see it as you stand in line to order, as well as hand-held copies of the menu.
Overall I believe this restaurant will do very well in Huntsville and everyone should drop by and try it out!
As far as food, there were not so many options for people who eat gluten-free, which makes sense. There was also not an allergen menu on their website and I was sad they didn’t have one. I had grilled chicken salad with cheese and bacon on top, with ranch dressing. I asked for the dressing on the side, but I ended up getting it on the salad, which is not a huge deal, but something worth noting. The salad was huge and would probably be better to share. I liked my experience here and will probably go back, especially for their shakes and ice cream!

Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich – $6.50
Rating – 3/5
Super Chix has a unique, almost dairy farm aesthetic, with black and yellow murals depicting chickens and some of their key features (“hand-breaded chicken”, “hand-cut fries”, “super southern sauces”, etc.) painted on top of white brick walls on a few of the walls inside the restaurant. The place was busy but we were able to order as soon as we finally decided on what we wanted!
The food came out as quickly as could be expected but the flavor of my sandwich didn’t meet my expectations. I ordered a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, but it didn’t end up being spicy at all.
The manager spoke with us and said they make all of their sauces for the sandwiches in-house, and the sauce may have been mixed incorrectly. He offered to get me some of the Nashville hot sauce, but I was almost done with my sandwich at that point. The sandwich wasn’t bad; it just definitely wasn’t your classic Nashville Hot sandwich.
Also, I’m not a huge sauce guy, which is why I ordered this type of sandwich. Nashville hot chicken, in my experience, is usually more dry than saucy, with the seasoning mixed into the breading instead of in sauce form. Again, not a terrible sandwich, but probably shouldn’t be advertised as a “Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich”.
Loved the Five Guys-esque fries though!

Korean Barbecue Fried Chicken Sandwich – $6.50, Small Cookies n’ Cream Shake – $4.00
Rating – 4/5
If I kidnapped you and blindfolded you, waiting until you had your metal tray of food, I bet before I took the blindfold off you’d guess you were in a Five Guys. Super Chix is exactly that… It’s the 5 Guys for chicken sandwiches… and considering how much I like 5 guys, that’s not a label I hand out to everyone.
The staff was attentive and the food was brought out to us quickly, relative to the number of customers there. Super Chix has a good vibe to it and the food is tasty. I’ll for sure be back.
Today I got a cookies and cream milkshake along with a Korean Barbeque sandwich. They brought out the milkshake almost immediately, which I, of course, polished off before I even got my food. It’s not really even a complaint, because the Korean BBQ sandwich was really delicious, but I didn’t expect it to be that spicy. I don’t know how they cook their chicken, but it’s kinda got that country-fried crispness to it.
