We LOVE spicy food, and Huntsville has some great spots with exceptionally delicious spicy dishes. Here are 5 things we recommend trying if you can handle the heat.
Viet Cuisine – Vegan Beef
One of our favorite meals, period! You know it’s spicy when you order something and the waiter warns you about the spice and asks if that’s okay with you. This spicy dish comes out on a sizzling hot cast iron pan with sauteed veggies and a side of rice. Add extra Sriracha sauce if you want to kick it up a notch.

Fire & Spice – Lonestar Tacos
They aren’t named Fire & Spice for nothing! Most of their dishes contain jalapenos, habaneros, hot sauce, you name it! Pictured are the Totally Rad Tacos with jalapenos, but we’ve heard great things about their Lonestar Tacos that come loaded with smoked brisket, hot sauce, spicy slaw, bacon, cotija cheese, and creamy BBQ sauce.

Happy Tummy – Spicy Bird
We love the name of this sandwich at Happy Tummy. It’s a turkey sandwich (that’s the “bird” part) topped with pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo (the “spicy” part) and piled high with tomato, red onion, and lettuce. Pair it with jalapeno chips for an extra kick.

Local Taco – Nashville Hot Chicken Taco
No need to drive all the way to Nashville for some Nashville hot chicken! Local Taco’s spin on this popular dish features fried chicken smothered in their house-made hot sauce with poblano cream sauce and topped with slaw, cilantro, and Wickles Pickles.

Ales Kitchen – Jerk Chicken Tacos & El Diablo Burger
Because we couldn’t choose just one! On one side you have a burger with pepper jack cheese, grilled onions, jalapenos, jalapeno salsa verde, Sriracha, tortilla strips, and creamy avocado sauce to cool things down a bit. If tacos are more your thing, opt for the jerk chicken tacos with spicy slaw and spicy jerk sauce for just the right amount of spice.

Also worth mentioning:
Big Shakes – Hot Mess Chicken Sandwich w/ Executioner Sauce
Thai Garden – Pad Phed Mee
El Cazador – Al Pastor (Spicy Pork) Tacos
